Having navigated the Covid Pandemic successfully, my client within the travel tech space is launching various new products as well as building an Engineering Team in Munich from scratch. As part of this growth, they are looking to hire a Technical Project Manager to work on multiple exciting projects to enable future scale of the business.

The role:

  • The project manager will have a strong ability to translate business requirements into a clear technical roadmap. They will work closely with sales and marketing and with the software engineering teams to lead the strategy and implemenation of the team's technical products.
  • In this role you will see projects through all the way from design to implementation and make sure this is done to specifications within an established time frame and budget.
  • You aim to be the go-to expert regarding any technology concerns within the EU Market of our travel tech business.
  • You will hire and train additional support members.
  • You will determine, prioritize and define clear deliverables for projects and initiatives.
  • Analyse, plan and develop requirements and standards for international markets.
  • Research and evaluate technology options (hard- and software) and weigh the cost/benefit analysis when making purchases.
  • Work with the German and UK teams to identify synergies and best practice to continuously improve operational efficiency.
  • Create and support a collaborative culture of success.
  • Supporting the planning, launching and managing of new business opportunities with the aim to build for future scale.

Ideal (but not all a MUST) Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelors’ degree in a fields such as Computer Science, Business Administration, or Commerce.
  • 3-5 years of technical project management experience in methodologies and processes.
  • Experience of full implementation of multiple and diverse projects (process improvement, booking delivery, etc.), within constraints of budget, timelines, and resource constraints.
  • You have superior verbal/written communication and data presentations skills, proven ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
  • Experience communicating technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
  • Demonstrated track record of results delivered by influencing stakeholders in a highly-matrix cross-functional organization.
  • Big plus if you are proficient with web services, online technologies, virtualization, developer tools, and user interface design.
  • Strong analytical skills, with excellent problem-solving abilities in the face of ambiguity.
  • Ability to influence change at all levels within an organization.
  • Strong customer focused orientation.
  • Experience working in a high-level collaborative environment and promoting a teamwork mentality.
  • Experience working in an Agile scrum environment is a plus.
  • Managerial experience applying analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to predict challenges and seek to proactively head-off obstacles.
  • Fluent English & German language skills.
  • Big PLUS is Work experience in the travel industry .
