Our client is amongst the group of so called “hidden champions” and a market leader in their field. Set in a more traditional industry, they set out last year to digitize their factory and processes. They have 300 employees across 11 locations, with the Technology office being embedded into the factor in Munich. This means you get to see live from your desk how robots are shipping out orders. Cool right?

As E-Commerce Manager Backend you are responsible for the error-free and high-performance operation of the webshop infrastructure including all interfaces to secondary systems.

Your tasks:

  • Develop API specifications and ensure their implementation and documentations
  • Technical requirements documentation (e.g. flow charts, representation of business processes
  • Identifying, documenting, testing, reconciling, and managing interface-specific performance requirements
  • Creation of test cases as well as their planning and execution together with the QA
  • Knowledge transfer of new/changed functions (interfaces<->shop) to other teams
  • Holistic monitoring as well as execution of error analyses and support of the development team in troubleshooting
  • Ensuring holistic data availability
  • Further development of all APIs according to business relevant aspects
  • Monitoring of all backend driven performance KPIs
  • Management and optimization of the CDN and cloud infrastructure in terms of reliability and performance
  • Configuration and set-up of Linux servers (Fact Finder hosting)
  • Management of all domains, DNS records and certificates
  • Supporting idea generation of conceptual requirements together with developer, PO and UX manager

Your profile:

  • Completed studies in the field of (business) computer science or a comparable education with additional qualification.
  • At least 2-3 years of professional experience in the support and further development of e-commerce platforms, especially solid technical background knowledge in the field of internet technologies
  • Initial experience in an agile development environment (Scrum)
  • Analytical, structured and holistic way of thinking and working
  • Solid experience in requirements engineering and testing
  • Solid knowledge of Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence
  • Use of your technical know-how for revenue and profit management
  • Open-minded team player with excellent communication skills
  • Business fluent in written and spoken English
