Digital Health – Senior PHP Engineer - Best employer in Germany

Our VC funded client is currently building a web platform that is causing a major shift in an industry known to be outdated and conservative.

As part of this shift they are looking for a Senior PHP Engineer to join their tech team of 35 in Munich with the mission of becoming the best IT Team within their given industry.

Your goal as an Engineer will be to help build their large service oriented, cleanly architected, modern backend.

• Setup of cross-functional teams and communities (Frontend/Backend Developers, Testing, DevOps, Claims, Marketing etc.)

• Uses some of following technologies – PHP 7+, Symfony 5+, JavaScript, Docker, Node.js, TypeScript, redis, AWS, git, Sass, Karma-runner, Terraform, Jenkins, Go, Python, json, Microservices, dredd, firebase, behat, PostreSQL and many more

The candidate we are looking for:

• Someone who is in love with PHP & Symfony5+, as well as building and designing microservices
• Experience in building quality software: testing, code reviews, clean code, refactoring strategies, R&D, etc.
• BONUS You have a degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
• BONUS: You are experienced with DDD, DevOps, Docker, AWS, Go, JavaScript, Python, Java, etc.
• You bring along mastery of your own tool set (operating system, IDE, debugging etc.)
• The Scrum process is not new to you
• You are a Senior Developer with several years experience
• Fluent English. No German needed
